Look at the sparkle in your own eye and tell me what you see. There is a sparkle of laughter. You knew it was funny, you knew it would hurt, but somehow you didn’t care. Now outside the window it’s raining and lids dark as night cover some kind of pent up anger. It’s not for you, but somehow you can’t say no. you’re addicted like a kid with candy. You can’t stop eating it. You can’t stop wanting it. Oh the crave you must feel. So when you tell me that everything is perfect in your little world, what do you really mean? what’s wrong. I can’t go everyday and believe it is ok when you’re faking this. When you’re laughing at insecurities that only you can see. They aren’t mine luv, they are all yours. I’ve ran and ran until my nightmares are running up hill, all out of breath. Now one will find me here except your cynical eyes. Some kind of mistrust. But I won’t question it, just as you don’t question my reasoning. Maybe you’re seeing right through the lie that never was there.
Adam and Eve shared a rib and they share it for eternity, an infinity. Can you just draw it in the dust with your foot and expect each other to become lost in it’s hypnotism? Adam kept her under his spell for years after that. It’s haunted her everyday since then. They demons and monsters she saw in those cages. How they wanted to touch her. They reached out through their cages just to brush against her clothes. But when he shoved her in and locked the door, she could no longer give them a choice. They made it for her. They tore like the zombies on movies, and laughed like clowns at a circus. Their pleasure couldn’t be anymore climaxed. She was their object and they were her puppet masters. Adam laughed from just out of reach. He laughed and danced and shrugged off her screams. These monsters were living in a cave and he controlled them. He controlled what they did and who they did it to. The walls were caked with rust and the floor was covered in their juices. In her juices. Juice is a thought that belongs with something sweet and edible. And that is exactly what they did with her. It was like peeling an orange to expose it’s deepest parts so the juice seeps… it seeped until the dead leaves on the ground were like towels after a steaming hot shower.
Now her mind hasn’t been quite the same since. He showed her the wonderful worlds of school and the chances she had. He filled her head with dreams. He made the time go by and he made the smoke become thick and rich. He gave her a compos and told her to follow it. Follow it north, follow it north on the earth. He sent her to her future when a little mosquito would get the best of her, to a glimpse of a free life far from then, to the past when her mind was being formed by this craft. Would he laugh at her now?
New page and new thoughts, cock your head and look at me sideways, does it make more sense now? Will you have the characteristics of Adam? Will you let it influence you that way? Don’t tell me everything is different when I see her running away every night like she always has. All these things are chasing her still and you’re part of that entourage. You twisted Illusionist. She’s met the Joker, the Demon, and the Illusionist. Not necessarily in that order. Lay it out in plain sight so the blood splattered on the windshield will just cake on and become a reoccurring memory. It’s infinity, just like you told her. It goes on and on forever. It’s cursed like a voodoo doll.
She ran away. Away from you and all your curses, but yet you follow her and enforce your fear upon her. That cold dark cell haunts her every night, but here in the sun, people don’t understand. They are people of the sun, people of love and harmony. Tell them about a crazed Illusionist and they think you’ve lost you’re mind. They could be right, maybe it’s just all in her head.
